When I can make the time for it, I enjoy painting miniatures for my games. Every so often I’ll break out the drafting table and paints and focus in on one or two minis. This is important now because last year I helped support the Reaper Kickstarter. At some time in the next month or so I expect to receive ~250 plastic minis from their Bones line. I should never need to buy another mini again. =)
Here’s a dwarf (from Reaper) that I customized and painted for a D&D 4e game that I’ve played in. The hammer is what’s customized, and unfortunately it shows. Originally it was an axe head, which I clipped and covered with green stuff. I tried to paint it up like stone, but it didn’t come out the best. Aside from that, I’m really pleased with the paint job.
If nothing else, posting about minis on this site should help prod me into more painting. More to come soon!
